The successful candidate will execute the financial aspects of the County Roads Division, which includes engineering, construction, maintenance, and operations.

Primary Duties

Monitoring expenditures for capital construction and improvement projects.
Federal and state grant tracking, billing, and compliance.
Preparing financial documentation, reconciliations, and invoices; monitoring expenditures, cash receipts and transfers.
Compiling, maintaining, and verifying monthly financial reports.
Assisting in the development and review of multiple Roads Division budgets, including forecasting and strategic planning.
Establishing inventory systems and tracking supplies, capital, and small assets.
Recommending and assisting in the development of policies and procedures.
Monitoring conformance to applicable financial and statutory requirements.


High School Diploma or G.E.D. and two (2) years of college level accounting courses.
Two (2) years of general accounting experience, plus one (1) year of grant accounting experience. Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Ability to utilize a personal computer and related software packages to perform word processing, analysis, information retrieval and tracking.
Ability to communicate with co-workers as well as the public.
