Job Title:  Assistant Finance Director

Performs and supervises a wide variety of financial, treasury, budgeting, cash management, contract and grant management and financial reporting functions including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cashiering; records retention management and special project management. Develops, proposes, and regulates a system of internal controls to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting. Assists in the hiring, training, and evaluation of department employees.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field; two years’ relative supervisory experience, and two years’ experience in governmental accounting processes required; or any combination of related education and experience or training that in the opinion of the City would provide the level of knowledge, skills and abilities required. Master’s Degree and three to five years’ experience preferred.
