Basic Responsibilities
Works closely and in support of the Senior Manager, Controller and Auditor to ensure timely and accurate financial processing. Manages and supervises the payroll, accounts payable and non-consumptive billing functions and personnel. Works with other General Accounting and Finance team members in support of all District financial processes and reporting. Responsible for review, analysis and implementation of new and existing accounting pronouncements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or related field, AND
Five (5) years progressively more responsible accounting experience, AND
Five (5) years in a lead or supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
Financial or accounting experience in an electric utility.
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission accounting regulations.
National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners regulations.
Experience with large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
Knowledge of or experience with SAP.
