The purpose of the Legislative & Professional Standards Committee is to provide WFOA members with information regarding proposed legislation and changes in governmental accounting and auditing standards. It also strives to encourage participation in state and federal legislative processes and provide technical resources for the implementation of adopted standards.

This committee does not have regularly scheduled meetings. The committee teleconferences at least twice a year to discuss legislative and professional standards updates, typically in early February and December.
