WFOA, a nonprofit organization governed under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, promotes excellence in governmental finance through leadership, education, and communication.  Our members include state and local government officials; counties, cities, schools, transits, libraries, and special districts to name a few.

Membership  Services

Throughout the year, WFOA sponsors meetings, seminars, and workshops across the state.  In addition to the non-conference training, the annual Fall Conference offers a plethora of educational opportunities which are enhanced by the opportunity to meet others to exchange ideas and views.  Members are encouraged to become active in one or more of our committees.  To access the list of committees, click here.

Newsletters are published, usually quarterly, to disseminate pertinent information to our members. To access, click here.

The WFOA has a very active scholarship program for our members, designed to provide access to educational opportunities, especially those offered by the WFOA.

Membership Types

Active Membership* – Annual Dues – $75.00
is extended to those elected officials or public employees who have the responsibility for or are employed in any aspect of governmental finance.

Affiliate Membership – Annual Dues $150.00
is open to persons not eligible for active membership.

Honorary Membership – No Dues
is conferred by the Board of Directors to persons who have made outstanding contributions to the Washington Finance Officers Association.

*Active Memberships may be transferred to the successor of an active member (Article I, Section 1, a)
